Sound is defined as vibrations that move through any medium and can be heard if they reach an animal or person’s ear. Loud sounds are around us every day and can range from annoying to lethal.


The human voice registers around 25-35 decibels and at about 120-130 decibels, we start to feel pain. Depending on the duration of exposure, sounds above 85 decibels can potentially cause hearing loss.
